My Visit Report
Inside the Space

They hand-roll pasta in-house (that’s tortellini in the photo).

Ordering is done on large touchscreen kiosks—quick and painless.

There are seats on the 1st floor, 2nd floor, and the rooftop, so capacity is big. This photo is the 2nd floor—rooftop was busier when I went, but the 2nd floor was calm and spotless.

Here’s the rooftop—right next to the Two Towers. Such a cool setting.

Another angle from the rooftop at sunset—unbeatable atmosphere.
What I Ordered & How It Was

This was a solo quick meal. Here’s my tray. (The bread-looking item in the corner came unrequested—nice extra.)
- Tagliatelle Bolognese — €9.0
- Extra Parmigiano — €0.3
- Salad with Mozzarella — €7.9
- Red wine — €4.0
Total: €21.2
The ragù comes in a paper cup so it looks small, but the portion equals a standard restaurant plate—plenty for a light meal. Not life-changing, but the fresh pasta texture hits the spot and it’s solidly good.
The salad was fresh and generous. I dressed it with the olive oil and balsamic on the counter—tried the red balsamic, but they also had white balsamic if you’re curious.
Wine options were more varied than expected. I grabbed the first house red listed—tannins and acidity stood out a bit too sharply for my taste. If you’re picky, scan the list before tapping “OK.”
Overall Verdict & Who It’s For
✓ Overall Rating
Bottega Portici — ★3.8
The food is “good everyday pasta,” but the location, ease, speed, and that rooftop view make it an easy recommendation.
✓ Best For
Travelers who want a quick, no-stress meal; anyone keen to check off both ragù and the Two Towers in a short window.
✓ When to Go
Casual meals with family or friends. Not ideal for business dining.
✓ Heads-Up
- There can be a line at peak lunch. The charm here is speed and convenience—personally, I wouldn’t wait long; go off-peak if you can.
